New California Drill Results Reveal Broad Gold Deposit Near Historical Mine
Lassen County, Monday, 19 October 2026.
Four Nines Gold discovered an 80.1-meter stretch of gold mineralization starting just 10 meters below a historic California pit, extending the system 150 meters south and signaling substantial resource expansion.
Drill Results Announced
Four Nines Gold Inc. (CSE:FNAU) announced assay results on October 19, 2026, regarding core hole HH26-003 at the Hayden Hill Gold Project [2]. The hole intersected 80.1 meters averaging 1.08 g/t gold and 10 g/t silver [1][2]. This discovery extends gold mineralization 150 meters south along the Lower Telegraph Corridor compared to hole HH26-001 [1]. The previous hole, reported on October 1, 2026, intersected 31.9 meters averaging 1.05 g/t gold and 15 g/t silver [2].
Structural Expansion and Grade Consistency
The new intersection represents a significant increase in intercept length compared to the earlier hole, with the length difference calculated as 151.097 percent longer than the initial find [1][2]. A deeper intersection in HH26-003 returned 8.0 meters averaging 1.10 g/t gold and 15 g/t silver from 157 meters depth [1]. Management interprets this deeper intersection as potentially representing the down-dip continuation of the 214 Vein [2]. Core hole HH26-005, drilled from the same collar, intersected approximately 58 meters of multi-stage silicified hydrothermal breccia with assays pending [1][2].
Historical Context and Future Plans
The Hayden Hill Gold Project is a former mine that produced 480,000 ounces of gold and 1.3 million ounces of silver historically [1]. No systematic exploration occurred between 1997 and the current campaign, which has completed 10 core holes totaling 1,652.5 meters to date [2]. Hole HH26-011 is currently in progress to test the central portion of the corridor, while three additional holes are planned for the remainder of the 2026 drill season [1][2].
