Stellantis Unveils 600-Horsepower Dodge Charger Super Bee Without a V8 Engine

Stellantis has officially introduced the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee, marking a significant strategic pivot in the high-margin American muscle car market. Unveiled ahead of Detroit’s Roadkill Nights event, the vehicle replaces the traditional V8 engine with a 600-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. Generating an extraordinary 200 horsepower per liter, this model becomes the most powerful gas-powered Charger produced to date. Built on an all-wheel-drive platform, it features an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode and accelerates from 0 to 97 km/h in just 3.4 seconds with a quarter-mile time of 11.8 seconds. This release highlights how Stellantis is capitalizing on consumer demand for high-performance internal combustion engines to support cash flow while continuing to navigate its broader transition toward vehicle electrification.
