Federal Agency Accelerates Body Camera Rollout for All Field Officers

Following mounting public scrutiny over unrecorded fatal shootings, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement expects to fully equip all field agents with body cameras by late August 2026. However, updated internal guidelines grant the agency discretionary authority to restrict footage releases deemed contrary to its own best interests.
